Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, formerly known as Project MASK, is a deck-building roguelike where you can explore a practically infinite number of dungeons, using your deck to battle all kinds of monsters. The game is designed by Kazuma Kaneko, whose style will be instantly recognizable to anyone who has ever played a Shin Megami Tensei or Persona title.

Turn-based card battles

Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter features a turn-based combat system. Whenever you encounter a new enemy, you will draw three random cards from your deck, meaning you will have to adapt your strategy to the cards you have drawn. You can perform a single action each turn, using one of the three cards you have drawn. These will normally boil down to attacking or defensive actions, although some special cards will allow you to perform other abilities.

Dive into procedural dungeons

Like any good roguelike, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter's dungeons are procedurally generated every time you start a new game. This means that you will never find yourself in the same setting twice. All dungeons will be different from one another, with different paths and layouts. As well as enemies, when you explore each setting you will also find special events where you will usually have to make important decisions.

Not only are the monster and character designs reminiscent of Shin Megami Tensei or Devil Summoner, the storyline of Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is also reminiscent of these Atlus games. In modern Tokyo, an imposing building known as The Hashira has risen, a state-of-the-art complex that has been completely sealed due to the plague of monsters. Your organization, Tsukuyomi, sends you and many like you to take down the leader of these monsters, who resides on the top floor of the building.
